Would it surprise you to know that God's plan and purpose for each of us is our complete happiness? It's true. But human happiness, properly understood, has to do with becoming who we are meant to be according to the nature God has given us. Tragically, contemporary culture has divorced itself from this understanding and now encourages individuals to fashion their own path to meaning and fulfillment. This mindset is conspicuous everywhere, such as the endless virtue-signaling on social media, the choosing of one's own gender, and even the the shameless political/military power-grabs that fill our news headlines. This talk will look at the what true happiness means from a biblical and philosophical perspective, and also offer some ways to communicate this reality to others in an objective way.
