I completed my undergraduate studies with a double major in English and Religious Studies at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. I went on to receive my Master of Arts in Religious Studies from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. I then went on a journey to Scotland to earn a Master of Theology in Biblical Studies from the University of Edinburgh. Most recently, I obtained my PhD in New Testament Language and Literature from the University of Edinburgh. Some of my research interests include the Dead Sea Scrolls and prophetic experiences. I have participated in archaeological excavations on Mount Zion in Jerusalem during my trips to Israel in 2007 and 2009.
